10 Things You Need To Know About Jared Leto's Joker

5. Expect A Dark Knight Returns Influence

While Batman V Superman isn't an adaptation of Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns, it is influenced by it, and it appears as if that will somewhat carry over into Suicide Squad. According to one report, Leto's version of The Joker will be quite bulky, just like the version from the classic graphic novel who was also portrayed as being a physical threat to Batman. When Amanda Waller visits The Joker in his cell, he'll be seen working out, something which is obviously a fairly major departure to how the character was handled in the previous Batman movies. The Caped Crusader has so often taken out his main foe with little more than a few right hooks, it should be fascinating to see a more formidable Joker here.
