10 Things You Need To Know Before Watching Joker
5. Jared Leto Is Still The DCEU's Joker
Despite falling short in the main with his performance as the Clown Prince in Suicide Squad, the release of Joker doesn't necessarily mean the end of the line for Jared Leto.
Joker, being a standalone film on its own, will have no impact on any other up and coming Suicide Squad movie, including those which want to once again showcase the 30 Seconds to Mars frontman's interpretation of the character.
This is good news for the Dallas Buyers Club star, who will be keen to showcase his talents as the Joker after being somewhat disappointed in how his final portrayal came across in 2016.
Obviously, there's the potential with Joker that Joaquin Phoenix completely nails the performance, almost making it impossible for Leto to recover. However, given the nature of Suicide Squad and how different Joker will be, there should be plenty for both actor and producers to delve into if they do indeed decide to persist further with Leto.
