Morbius was a candidate for the main villain in Blade II, but the idea was dropped because another studio had the rights to the character. However, the upcoming Morbius film presents the opportunity to link Blade and Morbius together. Therefore, this film is a perfect place to first tease the idea of Blade’s existence.
