10 Times Actors Had ZERO Idea What Movie They Were Making

Shia LeBeouf and Megan Fox got a lot of flack after criticising the Transformers franchise and the director, Michael Bay. But in their defence, at least the young actors knew what they were doing while making those movies. Hugo Weaving, on the other hand, couldn't have put less effort into his work, despite the fact he was playing the main villain, Megatron.

Now, it's no surprise the Matrix star isn't too familiar with an '80s cartoon where alien robots transform into cars, planes, and penguins. But he could've prepared a little bit for crying out loud! While being interviewed by the Hollywood Reporter, Weaving admitted he didn't do any research for Transformers, didn't read the script, didn't spend a day on set, didn't know what the plot was, never met the director, nor did he understand his character. He didn't understand the context of his lines, so he had no idea what Megatron was talking about. Although veteran voice-actors spend days in voice-booths to nail their scenes, Weaving performed all his dialogue for the first film in two hours.

Despite playing the antagonist, it's very possible Weaving knew less about Transformers than everyone else involved in the production.
