10 Times Actors Refused To Do Reshoots

2. Gal Gadot Didn't Want Her Character To Be Sexualised In Justice League

It's no secret that the theatrically released "original" version of Justice League underwent extensive reshoots, with Joss Whedon being drafted in to spend roughly two months and $25 million shooting new material intended to broaden the superhero epic's tone.

Though all of the principal cast members returned for the reshoots, Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot refused to shoot one particular sequence penned for the reshoots by Whedon.

The scene involved The Flash (Ezra Miller) saving Wonder Woman and awkwardly falling on top of her for a moment before phasing away.

Gadot ultimately declined to film the beat on the grounds that it overtly sexualised her and her character, and so Whedon instead used Gadot's stunt double to film the shot of Miller on top of her.

This explains why Wonder Woman's face is turned away from the camera during the shot, and the only time we see Gal Gadot's face is when she's on the ground alone and The Flash has sped away from her.
