10 Times “Good” Characters Gave Being Evil A Try

1. Anakin Skywalker

Jason Todd Red Hood
Lucasfilm

Anakin Skywalker stands as the utmost example of a character’s fall from grace. Thanks to George Lucas' starting his magnum opus in the middle, we first met him as Darth Vader, but Anakin began as a cute, little, enslaved tot on the planet Tattoine. Think about it... even if you hated the Prequel Trilogy, Anakin was a cute kid, but grew up to become an aggressive, worrisome, and petulant young man.

All he wanted was to keep his beloved safe from harm, but he went about it in the worst way possible resulting in exactly what he trying to prevent. He killed his wife by breaking her heart (after choking her) and nearly dies fighting his best friend and mentor, which left him a crippled, burnt, husk of a man the Emperor had little trouble converting into his minion: Darth Vader.

Vader sets his sights on the remaining Jedi of the galaxy and slaughters them. He was truly the visage of evil at this point and nothing could stop him... until his son showed up.

Luke was able to redeem his father at the very end, which helped prove that a person who turns to evil can one day return to the side of good.

Which other good characters tried being evil? Let us know down in the comments.
