6. Tom Hooper Gives Us A CGI Faithful Adaptation - Cats

Andrew Lloyd Webber's smash hit musical Cats is a show which focuses on a group of feline characters all deciding who will ascend to the Heaviside Layer.

So, you'd have thought that Tom Hooper's decision to stick to the source material as much as possible when creating the motion picture adaptation of the story would have gone down an absolute treat with those who adored said cat-caper. Right?

Well, fans of the iconic show very quickly found out that some pieces of theatre just aren't made for the big screen.

By clinging to the idea of the likes of the Rum Tum Tugger and Bombalurina being half-human/half-cat hybrids - much like they are in the long-running theatre show - only this time through CGI, Hooper successfully freaked out just about every person who turned up to watch the star-studded feature.

Had the characters been kitted out in their typical make-up and costumes, most people probably would've thoroughly enjoyed this admittedly peculiar tale. However, the decision to realise the characters through god awful digital effects made for a deeply disturbing experience and left everyone involved wishing they'd not wasted their time attending Cat School.
