10 Times MCU Characters Seriously Messed Up

As much as the Guardians are known for their comedy moments, sometimes the group make rash decisions and endanger those around them, as seen by Drax. Avengers: Infinity War saw many of our favourite heroes battle out against Thanos to prevent him from gaining all of the Infinity Stones and wiping out half of the universe.

Spoilers- they are unsuccessful, and many fans blame the leader of the Guardians Peter Quill/ Star-Lord for not controlling his own anger management and making them lose.

After Thanos had sacrificed his daughter Gamora to win the Soul Stone at the cliffs of Vormir, he returns to his own home planet to be greeted by the Avengers. Guardians newcomer Mantis uses her mind powers to control the beast, giving the team enough time to take his Infinity Gauntlet off his hand.

But alas, Star-Lord messes things up at the last second.

After questioning Thanos on the whereabouts of Gamora, Star-Lord soon realises she has been killed at the hands of the new stone. Without thinking, Quill punches the Titan in the face and subsequently drops him out of his trance, giving him time to grab back the Gauntlet at the last second.

Next time, take some deep breaths instead of acting on your anger Quill!
