2. The Sex Party

Marion, desperate for drugs, takes part in the infamous sex party to earn some heroin to feed her own all-consuming addiction. It's one of the most sordid scenes in the film, with Marion and another girl taking part in all kinds of terrible acts for the sake of lots of aroused black suited men throwing their money around. While filmed in a way achieving the most amount of impact, this whole final montage sits horribly after the mainly calm build up to the film's end. To think that women are treated in such a way, and do it intentionally to feed an addiction is just awful. It's scary because: it's horrifying to see Marion, who we originally had at least a slight amount of sympathy for, be a victim of such a primitive force of sexual abuse - and it's graphic enough to make you flinch.
