10 Times Star Wars Gave Fans What Wanted (and They Hated It)

9. Adventures Of Obi-Wan Kenobi

The Book of Boba Fett
Disney+

Even though Disney promised there was an Obi-Wan Kenobi script gestating for years, it felt like the project was never going to materialise. And when the Obi-Wan film was scrapped, all hope appeared to be lost.

But when the project was revised into a TV series, things looked like they were turning around for the better. And after watching the Obi-Wan Kenobi teaser trailer, it felt like this Disney+ series was going to be everything we ever dreamed.

Instead, it was... kind of okay. What's really frustrating is how every episode in the show has a lot of good AND a lot of bad in it. Ewan McGregor brings a whole new dimension to his character that we never witnessed in the prequels. Darth Vader is suitably terrifying. The two former friends' showdown is as epic as it is heart-wrenching.

But every episode is let down by illogical moments and ridiculous writing. How did Tala knock a Stormtrooper out by slapping his helmet? Why does Vader keep sparing his victims? Why didn't Obi-Wan walk around that laser gate? It's bewildering that this script supposedly took years to write and THIS was the best result.
