10 Times Star Wars Totally Trolled You

Much has been written about what the Force is in Star Wars and what it represents. Be it religion, the power of nature, or something else entirely, this mystical power is, in canon, the glue that binds all living things together.

Also, it gives people the ability to turn off light switches from the other side of the room.

What makes the Force so interesting, is that it's shrouded in mystery. Nobody really knows exactly what it is, how it works, or where it came from. It just exists and seems to have done since the dawn of time.

Until midi-chlorians came along and ruined all of the fun.

As revealed in The Phantom Menace, midi-chlorians are microscopic lifeforms that are heavily linked to the Force. Qui-Gon Jinn bases a lot of his theory that Anakin is the chosen one on the fact that Ani's midi-chlorian count is extremely high.

In an instance, the Force went from this enigmatic energy to how many tiny blobs you have floating around in your blood. They totally undermined the intrigue of one of the franchise's main selling points and, thankfully, are rarely talked about today.
