10 Times Star Wars Totally Trolled You
4. The Stormtrooper Head Bonk
In terms of movie goofs, they don't come much more famous or hilarious than the short-sighted Stormtrooper in A New Hope.
As a group of the Imperial soldiers enter a room in the Death Star, one of them catches the top of his head on the bottom of a door. This scene is now way more famous than it has any right to be, all because of one extra and their poor depth perception.
Considering how relentlessly George Lucas has tinkered with this film over the years, you'd have thought that re-releases of A New Hope would have removed this gaff.
Instead, they've just made it more obvious.
In the 2004 re-release, a sound effect was added to this scene. Now, every time the Trooper bumps his noggin, it's accompanied by a dull "bonk" noise. Because if you're going to have one of your actors mess up in a scene, you might as well make it look authentic.
Again, this is a textbook example of Lucas making an entirely unnecessary change to the original trilogy. Still, considering that this one doesn't undermine any major plot points or character motivations, it can get a pass.
