10 Times The Movie Killer Was Hiding In Plain Sight

6. Jigsaw - Saw

The climactic killer reveal in the original Saw literally defines the phrase "hiding in plain sight," with the end of the movie revealing that the murderous mastermind known as the Jigsaw Killer was actually feigning death in front of the protagonists the entire time.

When the film begins, Dr. Gordon (Cary Elwes) and Adam (Leigh Whannell) wake up in the grotty bathroom where they're being held captive, only to find a corpse in the middle of the room: a dead man who has seemingly blown his own brains out due to the poison coursing through his veins.

Except, this "corpse" stands up in the film's final scene, revealing it all to be an hilariously convoluted ruse, before announcing himself as Jigsaw (Tobin Bell) and sealing poor Adam in the bathroom to his doom.

As ridiculous as the reveal might be - namely how absurdly still Jigsaw managed to stay for literally hours - it packs an undeniably flabbergasting punch, and ends the film on one hell of a "Holy s**t!" moment.

The many sequels have certainly tried to match the first film's iconic shock value, but never once have they pulled it off.
