Steve Carrell has had a fantastic career that has defied what many people thought him to be capable of. Much like Robin Williams before him, he showed that his dives into the realm of dramatic performances could be incredibly well received, particularly with his transformative turn in Foxcatcher.

However, the last big success of his was The Big Short, which came out five years ago, and the litany of projects he has worked on afterwards have not matched the new reputation he garnered as an Academy Award nominee.

Although he is still working comfortably and has had some good roles, it seems that he needs another big hit film to get back into the position he was in five years ago. The only big scale project that caught peoples attention was Space Force, but unfortunately, that ended up being a dire disappointment and one that Carrell needs to rectify as soon as he can.

The acting world benefits from such a presence as his, and it's a shame that he hasn't appeared in anything mainstream lately.
