8. Tuxedo Catch - The Room
The Room is one of the great human obscurities - a movie so dense with its own confusion that it's come full circle, to the point where Tommy Wiseau's misguided "drama" might well be considered the King of Bad Movies. Like, all of them. Trying to find one pointless scene for the sake of this article was like shooting fish in a barrel, and although the best example that springs to mind is the one where a character tells another character that they have cancer, only for it to never come up again, I've talked about that in another article. So let's talk tuxedos, shall we? There's a scene in The Room, then, which features the entire male cast suddenly wearing tuxedos. There's never any explanation as to why they're wearing tuxedos - Wiseau forgets to tells us the occassion. So where do the characters go whilst wearing their tuxedos, you ask? Surely we found out? Well, no, actually, given that all they end up doing is throwing an American football around in a bunch of alleyways, talking about the most mundane subjects imaginable, and generally acting like douchebags. It really is the epitome of a zero purpose movie scene (funny, though).
