7. Melinda May

Melinda May is a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent who was hand-picked to join Phil Coulson's team who feature so prominently in the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. television show. She has been shown as capable of spying, infiltration, piloting aircraft, firearms usage, melee weapon usage and incredible hand-to-hand combat skills. She's kicked more ass than most people in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it was her defeat of fellow agent - the traitorous Grant Ward - which really made her stand out as being so formidable.

After infiltrating Cybertek, a small team that included May took drastic action to bring down everyone in there. When Skye was holding a group of researchers hostage using a bomb, she was interrupted by Ward. Ward was convinced that Skye wouldn€™t go ahead with using the bomb and he told her as much. Skye replied that she had a better weapon than a bomb to take down Ward, prompting Ward to ask why. Skye simply replied €œbecause you slept with her€ and she€™s really pissed off€, at which point May entered the fray and attacked Ward.

A fairly drawn-out melee ensued between the former allies, with kicks and punches being thrown relentlessly. Even a buzz-saw got a share of the action, as Ward almost pushed May€™s face in to it while it spun, but May ultimately ended the fight by nailing Ward€™s foot to the floor with a nail-gun. Ward asked for mercy by saying €œwait!€, but May promptly hit his voice box, rendering him unable to speak and calmly uttered €œI think I€™ve waited long enough for this€, before knocking him clean out with a very awesome spin-kick.
