https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=anvGUW-vsLE Packed with levels of CGI that only the love child of James Cameron and, uh, James Cameron could dream of, this year's upcoming Alice Through the Looking Glass looks like a video game masquerading as a feature length film. Alice in Wonderland, the 2010 Tim Burton remake, was a pretty terrible movie, all in all - boring, incoherent, and packed with irritating performances from start to finish. Before this two-minute trailer was unveiled, however, there was hope that, you know, James Bobin - who takes over as director this belated installment - might have bucked his ideas up: a better plot, perhaps; more practical sets; a story with a bit of weight to it, even. Nope: Alice Though the Looking Glass appears to be repeating the mistakes of its predecessor, only now with the addition of a villain played by Sasha Baron Cohen, who - quite frankly - looks irksome as f*ck. He's French or something, for no reason at all.
