10 Trailers That Tease Missing Scenes In Superhero Movies

There aren't too many deleted scenes from Tim Burton's Batman Returns kicking around the internet, but there is extra footage on show in its theatrical trailer.

Around the 53-second mark, Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman unleashes an uproarious laugh followed by a goofy snort. Perceptive fans will noticed that this never made it into the film, although the scene it was taken from was very much included.

From the look of things, the scene where Catwoman pays Danny DeVito’s Penguin a visit to discuss a solution to their mutual Batman problem was originally longer, complete with cackling Selina Kyle. What she was laughing at we'll never know.

It just goes to show that not all deleted footage resolves plotholes or add a bonus action scene. Sometimes scenes are removed for a leaner runtime and faster pacing, but the fact this one was in the trailer suggests its omission came late in the day.
