10 TV Show Finales Fans Totally Rejected

For its first three seasons, Weeds was one of the most delightfully irreverent and unique shows on TV - a black comedy about suburban widow Nancy Botwin (Mary-Louise Parker) becoming a weed dealer in order to support her oddball family.

But by the time Weeds' eighth and final season rolled around, Nancy had become indefensible, implicated in numerous deaths, frequently making the wrongest decision possible, and being a terrible mother on top of it all.

Nancy was insufferable enough that many fans had turned to hate-watching the show in its final phase, tuning in only in the hope that Nancy would actually get a fitting comeuppance at series' end.

But the finale opted instead to give Nancy a cop-out happy ending, flashing forward to 2022 where Nancy decides to sell her weed empire to Starbucks and basically become filthy rich.

Despite the smug sentiment with which this all played out, most fans felt Nancy didn't deserve it - to be rich, happy, or loved.
