10 TV Show Finales Fans Totally Rejected
2. Game Of Thrones
Not a single finale on this list caused as much of a stink as Game of Thrones' widely reviled conclusion, coming at the end of a rushed, uneven six-episode final season.
Fans had speculated since the show's inception about who would end up "winning" the Game of Thrones, and not a single solitary soul banked on the utter swerve-job of Bran the Broken (Isaac Hempstead-Wright) becoming the new king of the Seven Kingdoms.
This is just the beginning, though - Daenerys' (Emilia Clarke) hurried transformation from indomitable force-of-nature to demented Mad Queen left most fans unconvinced, robbing her inevitable death of its potentially massive power.
Numerous other characters had endings either unsatisfying or predictable - namely Jon (Kit Harrington), Arya (Maisie Williams), and Sansa (Sophie Turner) - enough that passionate fans even started a petition to have the ending "remade," which scored over 1.8 million signatures.
Unsurprisingly, that hasn't come to fruition.
Most surprising of all, however, is how quickly Thrones' pop-culture imprint disappeared off the face of the Earth following the finale's airing.
Sure, a bad finale doesn't undo seven seasons of great TV, but for many the destination appeared to somewhat undermine the journey.
