2. Adam Sandler - The Man Child
Adam Sandler has been starring in movies for nearly twenty years, going from a young guy in his early thirties to a middle-aged man. With very few exceptions, his specialty has been portraying a particular brand of man-child, an adult in name only. His characters all have the same stunted emotional maturity, with the mentality of a 14-year-old boy. They all inexplicably attract very attractive women, like moths to a flame, despite their inability to fulfill even the most basic requirements of adulthood. Some are a little more put together, some are a little more intelligent, but the basic formula is the same. And hey, why change now? Aside from a few notably awful films in recent years that bombed in spectacular fashion (Jack and Jill and That's My Boy spring immediately to mind), his films have kept him on the gravy train and have been consistently successful, if not particularly inspired.
