10 Unaddressed Issues In Movies That We Still Want Answers To

1. How Did The Farrelly Brothers Get So Many Stars To Sign On? - Movie 43

Movie 43 "What?" is the word you're probably thinking right this second, having just glanced over the sub-header. "That? That's the number one unaddressed issue?" And although this may appear to be a somewhat flippant or inappropriate list-topper, I'm 100% serious about it. No question bugs me more today: How in the name of God did the Farrelly Brothers manage to get so many stars to sign up for Movie 43? I mean, it's perplexing, it's insane, it's vague, it's ambiguous... it makes no sense at all. And yet this exists. It's something that you can pay actual money to see. It's not just the fact that a bunch of Hollywood stars got involved, its the sheer volume of them, all of whom were either duped, tricked, bribed, or guilt-tripped into starring. Whereas some stars (George Clooney, to name one example) were instantly repulsed by the idea of a comedy anthology helmed by the guys who brought us Shallow Hal, Movie 43 still managed to get Oscar-winners like Kate Winslet and Halle Berry on board. And though this isn't an unaddressed plot point by any means, I'm more interested in finding out about this than anything else. So here's my dream. I want an unofficial documentary about the making of Movie 43 - a documentary that goes into incredible detail about how or why each and every star agreed to be in this abomination, and what they think about the final product in retrospect, having starred in "the Citizen Kane of bad movies." I would pay a lot of money to find out how, exactly, Kate Winslet and Hugh Jackman thought that filming a sketch about a man with testicles attached to his chin would be good for their careers. Months later, I'm still wondering about it. Like this article? Got answers? Let us know in the comments section below?
