4. 'Creep' Poster Rejected By Transport For London...After They Helped The Movie Get Made

Creep One of the more amusing mis-communications in movie advertising, the poster for the horror flick Creep - which is set in a London Underground station overnight - opts for the striking visual of a bloody hand clambering to escape a tube carriage, though it predictably wasn't long before tube operators Transport for London balked at the poster, demanding that it not be displayed in the London Underground system under any circumstances, for fear of causing distress to passengers. And yet, TFL still allowed the filmmakers to use their "product" in the first place, which is far more likely to put people off riding the tube than simply eyeing up a mildly provocative poster. If they didn't want to scare people, maybe they shouldn't have allowed a scaremongering film about their service, but alas, those movie mega-bucks, they speak volumes...
