3. Most People Are Too Lazy To Read

Few things infuriate more than someone balking at the notion of having to read subtitles; is it really that much of a chore? Talk to the average cinemagoer, and apparently it is; you can tell them about an amazing movie you've seen recently, but the second you mention that it's Spanish or French, they'll deflatedly ask "Oh, is it subtitled then?", and scoff when you tell them it is. I know far too many people who will only watch a foreign film if it's been dubbed into English, and given how awful dubbing generally is, we know why that's almost as stupid as swearing foreign language films off altogether. So, people aren't prepared to
read anymore? I know, I know, we're talking about a medium people primarily opt for because they can't be bothered to read a book, but are people really so lazy that they aren't prepared to read text while keeping their eyes on the visuals as well? Depressing.
