7. Blade 2 (2002)
Critics were unimpressed with this film but the results may have been different if they realized the impact Guillermo del Toro would have on cinema. The Oscar-winning director made an entertaining action film with a great cast, but many disagreed and labeled the film as just another action sequel. They were wrong.
Blade 2 is a rare example of a film that improves on its predecessor in every way. Wesley Snipes plays the titular character once again and carves through vampires as well as a new hybrid threat. The stakes in this film get lifted with every act, and the result is a compelling and highly stylized action film.
Since its release, Blade 2 has increased in notoriety, and now has its own cult following. The film is well worth a watch for fans of gore, vampires and oscar-winning directors... so basically it's a must-watch for most people.
