10 Most Underrated Actors In Hollywood

9. Elizabeth Banks

There€™s every chance you€™ve seen Elizabeth Banks on screen at some point €“ in all likelihood, more often than you realise. Banks has featured in two of 2014€™s biggest earners, providing the voice for Emmet€™s crush Wyldstyle in unexpected treat The Lego Movie and reprising her role as Effie Trinket in the latest instalment of The Hunger Games franchise. Her performance as Trinket, struggling to adjust to life beyond the excess of the Capitol, was one of the more notable elements of the placeholder sequel, and Banks has provided some much-needed levity in Suzanne Collins€™ grim saga. It should come as no surprise to see Banks at ease with her comic relief duties: the actress has racked up an impressive CV in the comedy genre and shown up in some of the TV and film€™s best offerings in recent years. Her appearances in The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Role Models and Pitch Perfect on the big screen have been juggled with parts in some of TV€™s most renowned sitcoms, including Scrubs, Modern Family and a recurring role on 30 Rock that earned her two Emmy nominations. With more to come from The Hunger Games, Pitch Perfect and the Lego franchise, Banks has no immediate career concerns. However, hopefully there will be more lead roles for this consistently classy performer.

I watch movies and I watch sport. I also watch movies about sport, and if there were a sport about movies I'd watch that too. The internet was the closest thing I could find.
