10 Underrated Disney/Pixar Songs

1. When She Loved Me - Toy Story 2

Picking the best Toy Story movie is basically impossible, as every film brings something special to the table. Toy Story 2 has many high points, but its pièce de résistance is the absolutely heart-breaking song, "When She Loved Me".

Sung in the film by Jessie (in reality its performed by Sarah McLachlan, who in herself is vastly underrated human being), the song recounts Jessie's relationship with past owner, Emily.

It draws parallels with Woody's own experiences with Andy - the elation of being a favourite toy, the joy of knowing that you are beloved by the one who means more to you to anything. However, the difference here is that Emily grew up and left Jessie behind.

The song runs the gauntlet of Jessie's emotions in under three minutes - the highs of her time with Emily, the sadness of abandonment, the hope of reigniting her love, and the eventual devastation when she realises that Emily has left her behind for good.
