10 Underrated Horror Comedy Movies
6. Society
Effective as both a simple (and simply horrifying) sci fi horror and as a twisted bit of social satire, 1990's Society brings together the worlds of gross out body horror and class commentary for a gory, twisted flick which is hilarious and scarily relevant.
This spectacularly gross but brilliantly sharp and well-written slice of Bel Air set horror manages to balance its dark laughs with a real sense of unease throughout its slow burn runtime, but unfortunately the film is largely forgotten outside of its insane effects work courtesy of Screaming Mad George.
It's understandable, given how mind blowing said effects are, but it's important to also remember the movie's moral of "eat the rich before they eat you".
