Coming from the creators of 2011's superb, blackly comic home invasion horror thriller You're Next, The Guest was always guaranteed to be an excellent bit of irresistible genre fare with some smart social commentary hidden beneath its stylish exterior.

However, few could have predicted how successfully Adam Wingard and Simon Barrett's action thriller/ mystery horror /sci fi black comedy/ genre stew would have turned out.

This Dan Stephens and Maika Monroe starring twisty “Hand That Rocks the Cradle meets The Terminator” flick is filled with iconic moments, and whilst it elevated its stars to mainstream recognition, this one should have been a blockbuster in its own right.
