10 Underrated Horror Comedy Movies

3. Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse

Burying The Ex
Paramount

Unfairly maligned by critics and missed out on by audiences, this silly, gory horror comedy/ coming of age flick deserved more love when it was released in 2015.

Providing exactly the irresistibly silly high concept outlined in its title, the film sees a set of mismatched scouts, old friends who are growing apart, forced to team up and take on a city full of the undead in a camping trip gone badly awry.

Filled with the same charm, raunch, and surprisingly sweet character comedy as the director's later Happy Death Day film series, this one is overdue a revisit by zombie film fans and lovers of coming-of-age comedy alike
