10 Underrated Marvel Movies That Deserve Another Chance

4. Daredevil

Daredevil is a film that's been widely hated since its release back in 2003 for such things as the Matrix-esque style, hammy moments, and Colin Farrell's Bullseye. However, is it really fair to judge the film solely on its shortcomings, especially when it also brought a lot of positives to the table?

In short, no.

For starters, the effects may have been lacking, but when it steered clear of clichés, the fight choreography was absolutely terrific.

The film also did a great job at not only telling Daredevil's origin story, but also expertly conveying how his powers work, as well as the disparity between Daredevil and Matt Murdock. The latter can be chalked up to a great performance by Ben Affleck. Even Charlie Cox, star of the much more acclaimed Daredevil TV series, has sung Affleck's praise for this performance.

This leads us to another big positive: the cast. In addition to Affleck (and discounting Farrell), Michael Clarke Duncan was solid as the Kingpin, Jon Favreau was a fantastic Foggy Nelson, and Jennifer Garner was passable as Elektra (her disastrous solo movie is a different story.)

Much like the Punisher, Daredevil is better off on Netflix, but in retrospect, his feature film was not at all that bad. And we need to stop pretending it was.
