Sunshine is a haunting film with amazing visuals and believable characters. The most important aspect to a movie like Sunshine is the ending and Boyle presents the viewer with a slightly controversial ending that has as many detractors as it does proponents. The point still remains that, whether you liked the third act or not, Sunshine is one of the better sci-fi movies to come out in the last decade yet it never seems to get the recognition it deserves. People always focus so much on debating the ending while disregarding how incredible the rest of the film is and the fact that the ending is no where near as bad as people make it out to be.
