10 Underrated Movies With Jaw-Dropping Ensemble Casts

2. Wet Hot American Summer

One of the most cult-ish of all the cult comedies to come out of the new millennium, Wet Hot American Summer showcased a breadth of experienced actors and wily newcomers. Created by sketch comedy guru David Wain of The State, this camp farce featured most of the usual cast of State alumni, including Ken Marino, Michael Ian Black, and Joe Lo Truglio, who would all go onto varied amounts of continuing success. David Hyde Pierce, Janeane Garofalo, Molly Shannon, Christopher Meloni (better known as Elliot from Law & Order: SVU), and Paul Rudd represented the "veterans" of the cast, while Amy Poehler, Judah Friedlander, and H. Jon Benjamin (better known as the voice of Archer and Bob from Bob's Burgers), were all still wet behind the ears. Wet Hot American Summer also featured two brand new actors in their first feature film roles - Elizabeth Banks and Bradley Cooper - who you may have heard of.
