10 Underrated Movies With Jaw-Dropping Ensemble Casts

8. Once Upon A Time In Mexico

The last instalment of the Mariachi Trilogy may not be quite as critically-adored as its two predecessors (El Mariachi and Desperado), but Once Upon A Time In Mexico is certainly the most star-studded. It seems like the movie featured every prominent Latin-American actor available at the time, with Danny Trejo, Eva Mendes, Ruben Blades, Cheech Marin, and even Enrique Iglesias getting into the action alongside returning stars Salma Hayek and Antonio Banderas. Also bolstering the lineup is the oddly silent Willem Dafoe, a chihuahua-obsessed Mickey Rourke, and Johnny Depp in one of his most straightforward roles as CIA Agent Sands (though he does get his eyes gouged out and gets to walk around as a blind man for a while, so the ocular prosthetics probably lured him in.) There's not a scene in this film that isn't bursting at the scenes with famous faces.
