10 Unintentionally Hilarious Horror Movies

6. Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation

The recent reveal that a new Texas Chainsaw Massacre film is coming didn't go down as well as producers likely hoped. The franchise is as dead as the people who make up Leatherface's mask, and it has been that way for a while. The series started okay but has never been good enough to justify the sheer amount of films it has produced. It definitely should have died with this atrocious outing.

Also known as The Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, this product was created by the original writer of the first film. He also took over as director and to this day it is the only project he has had that title for. The movie takes so many liberties and ruins the name brand that it is associated with.

Laughably bad performances from industry greats like Renee Zellweger and Matthew McConaughey don't do the film any justice, and seeing Leatherface cross-dressing feels more like Tootsie then it does Psycho.

The premise of the movies has always been simple, and in this outing the attempt to add nuance to it ultimately comes across as a cheap misunderstanding of where the original's success came from.

Everything about this film makes it a laughable experience, and the number of scares is minimal.
