Here, Nicolas Cage, apparently aware that he's making a terrible film, hams it up for the cheap seats, shouting, "No, not the bees!" prior to finally being placed inside the titular object, screaming until he is overcome by the flames. One almost dreads to think how soul-destroyingly dull this film would have been without Cage's presence; we might be keen to mock him as an easy target for starring in so much dreck, but his performance - whether intentional or not - takes what should be a serious film and turns it into something that is absolutely not.
