10 Unknown Actors Who Stole Movies Out From Their Famous Leads

4. Guy Pearce - The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert

Stole The Movie Out From: Terence Stamp, Hugo Weaving Priscilla was an absolute smash in its native Australia, far surpassing any expectations the studio had for it. Starring The Matrix's Hugo Weaving and British legend Terence Stamp, the film chronicles a drag act's journey across the Aussie outback to play a series of shows at a resort in Alice Springs. While Weaving and Stamp control the emotional pull of the film, the most fun is had by breakout star: Guy Pearce. Most audiences will recognise him from films like Memento or Iron Man 3, but this may be his most entertaining role to date. As Adam Whitely (stage name Felicia Jollygoodfellow), Pearce is rude, brash and utterly obnoxious and harbours a deep obsession for Swedish pop group ABBA. His bickering with Terence Stamp and large than life persona is a joy to behold. Not to mention his skills in the musical numbers would have you think he's been doing it for years. Long gone were his days on soap operas Home and Away and Neighbours, Guy Pearce had announced himself as an acting force to be reckoned with.

I love all things imaginative, from the page to the screen, and nurture a soft spot for Donald Sutherland and Daniel Bryan.
