10 Unluckiest MCU Characters
5. Loki
Throughout his entire life on Asgard, Loki felt like an outcast and was treated as such. His whole mischief thing didn’t exactly help him, but he had to find some way of coping with living in the all-consuming shadow of his adoptive brother.
On Asgard, no one would be able to compete with Thor, and yet Loki was essentially forced to. It wasn’t his fault that he was stolen from his home as a baby, and forced to live in a different world than where he was supposed to be. He even had to use magic to alter his appearance 100 percent of the time just to try and fit in.
Though he may have had a halfway decent relationship with his mother, about the only good relationship he did manage to build on Asgard, it also wasn’t his fault that his new father was completely ill-suited for such a job.
It’s little wonder why he turned his back on Odin and Thor, which in turn spiralled into an alliance with Thanos that would ultimately be the death of him. Had he been given any choice in the matter, he surely would have opted to stay on Jotunheim than to live the life he was forced into by the Allfather.
