Before all the Avengers can assemble, Loki needs to get his hands on a rare mineral for his wormhole machine, and to do so he breaks into a vault using the retinal scan of the museum’s curator. Loki slams the old man onto a slab before a gasping audience and with an “Eye Scream Scoop” thingy he saws off the man’s eye and scans his retina for the lock.
While our main focus is on Loki stealing stuff and Capt. America swooping in, can we not spare a thought for the poor man who just wanted to sip some champagne and discuss art? Instead the last thing he sees is a guy in a fabulous scarf pinning him down and sticking a dentist's tool right into his cornea.
