10 Unspeakably Awful Films Made By Oscar Winners

Halle Berry is unfortunately one of those actors who made a great film, won an Oscar for it, then promptly forgot how to be involved in good projects ever again.

Her appearance in the notoriously bad Catwoman shortly after winning her Best Actress Academy Award for Monster's Ball was enough for people to begin including her amongst the number of actors under the Oscar curse. But while Catwoman is bad, Dark Tide is so much worse, so that's the film we'll be focusing on today.

Dark Tide is the story of a shark expert who has lost her nerve after an accident led to a shark attack that killed a fellow diver under her command. She's clearly not up for the job anymore, but she decides to face her fears by accepting the offer from a rich idiot who wants go free swimming with the sharks (no cage) in the dangerous feeding ground ominously known as Shark Alley.

All of this, of course, is nonsense, and sounds more like a made-for-TV movie than a vehicle with an Oscar winner in it, but them's the breaks.
