10 Unused DC Extended Universe Concepts Which Need To Be Used In Future Movies
9. Welcome To The Real Krypton - Man Of Steel
Man of Steel explored Kypton in a way no other Superman movie had up until that point, but this concept art reveals that fans could have seen even more of Kal-El's home planet back in Zack Snyder's 2013 origin story for the iconic DC Comics character.
While that did explore the upper echelons of Krypton courtesy of characters like Jor-El and General Zod, it seems like Snyder considered visiting the "mean streets" of the planet too. These formidable looking soldiers were the planet's police force, and likely meant to allude to the fact that things for the regular people on the planet really weren't that great as it started falling apart around them.
After all, the planet was in real trouble, so it makes sense for the poor to have suffered most as the overcrowded, struggling home of the Man of Tomorrow neared its dying days.
If Henry Cavill's Superman meets another Krytonian - Supergirl, for example - then a flashback could very easily make use of this concept, helping Clark Kent realise that his home wasn't as idyllic as he might have first thought.
