2. Peter Quill's Star-Lord Garb
When Andy Park was asked to draw up concept art for James Gunns Guardians Of The Galaxy, he had the idea to blend together the visual worlds of Star Wars and Mad Max for a dystopian-looking space opera. The results were awesome, especially for Peter Quill. The Star-Lord outfit in Parks concept art is far more sci-fi than the costume Chris Pratt eventually wore, which was essentially a leather jacket and a mask. Park envisioned a more comic book-y, fantastical look that would have fitted wonderfully into James Gunns world. Personally, I think it would have made Star-Lord seem like more of a hero. But perhaps thats not what Gunn wanted. After all, Quill is a space scoundrel at the start of the movie and only truly embraces heroism by the end. Giving him an epic superhero suit from the start would have conflicted with that, so it makes more sense that Quill would wear fairly normal clothes. Perhaps, in Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2, hell be kitted out in a more lavish costume.
