10 Upcoming 2015 Movies That Won't Make Their Money Back

10. Jane Got A Gun

In a perfect world, a western movie starring Natalie Portman as a housewife type turned badass would pull in a gazillion dollars at the box office. But this ain't a perfect world. So whilst Jane Got A Gun sounds interesting on the surface - it looks poised as something akin to a feminist revenge flick set to both embrace and subvert genre conventions - and features one of Hollywood's biggest stars, it's important to remember that it also happens to be a) a western, b) a western made on a $60 million dollar budget, and c) a western made on a $60 million dollar budget whose production has been entirely plagued with problems. One of which includes a last-minute director change. Erk. If history has taught movie-goers anything, it's that movies that garner reputations for having been plagued with problems in the months before release don't tend to do very well at the box office (let's cite Michael Cimino's western Heaven's Gate as the definitive example); even though Jane Got A Gun co-stars Ewan McGregor and Joel Edgerton, it's tough to imagine this movie raking in more than $60 million at the box office.
