10 Upcoming 2015 Movies That Won't Make Their Money Back
6. Point Break
It's not always true that the most unnecessary movies end up making the least money, but in the case of upcoming remake Point Break - yes, you read that right; they're remaking Point Break - that might just be the case. Who decided that the campy '90s classic needed another go around? The original movie (not great, but enjoyable) is a relic of its time; renowned for its flaws as well as its triumphs, it's a cult movie in every sense. And you just don't remake cult movies. So the new Point Break won't feature Keanu Reeves in one of his most wooden roles, nor will it feature the likes of madman Gary Busey, whose meltdowns make the original so frickin' fun to watch. Instead, it stars two actors nobody has ever heard of - Edgar Ramirez and Luke Bracey - alongside Ray Winstone. Which is just really odd. Not to mention that Point Break 2015 is directed by a man named Ericson Core, which just sounds made up. Whatever the budget for this movie is (estimated at a whooping $100 million dollars), what are the chances that this thing will rake back its production costs? Slim to none?
