10 Upcoming Blockbusters Doomed To Bomb At The Box Office

1. Jupiter Ascending (July 25, 2014)

Mila KunisBudget: Unknown Predicted Box Office: $90 million Why It's Going To Bomb: Though the budget for the Wachowski's latest film is not publically known, you can bet that it's a lot, given that it's a sci-fi, and their last foray into the genre, Cloud Atlas, ended up costing a whopping $102 million. Furthermore, Atlas only scored a disappointing $130 million at the box office, and that seems far more accessible and star-studded than what we know of Ascending so far. Starring Mila Kunis, Channing Tatum, Sean Bean and Eddie Redmayne, the film revolves around a Russian toilet cleaner (Kunis) who is approached by Caine (Tatum), an intergalactic warrior who has been ordered by Queen of the Universe ordered to kill her. It sounds absolutely barmy, and that means it'll either do gangbusters at the box office or nothing at all. I've got my money on the latter; this one just sounds too outlandish, and doesn't have the good fortune of being based on a book like Cloud Atlas. Will these movies bomb? Or have we missed a potential bomb in our midst? Let us know in the comments below.
