Predicted Box Office: $150 million
Why It's Going To Bomb: Ender's Game is based on the novel of the same name by Orson Scott Card, but as mentioned above, famous source material doesn't at all mean that a film is going to be financially successful. Though Harrison Ford returning to the sci-fi arena will certainly drum up some interest, the uninspired trailers released so far don't exactly get the blood pumping, and star Asa Butterfield is still very much an up-and-comer. Thus, the trailers need to focus as much as possible on Ford, Ben Kingsley and Abigail Breslin, who are all established in their own rights, though going by what we've seen so far, they haven't been given much to do. Oh, and it's directed by Gavin "X-Men Origins: Wolverine", so good luck with that one...
