She's Funny That Way is the legendary Peter Bogdanovich's first film to be released theatrically since 2001's The Cat's Meow. Originally titled 'Squirrels To The Nuts' (after a joke in the film Cluny Brown), She's Funny That Way is a throwback to the screwball comedies of old. Bogdanovich has dipped his foot in the screwball pool in the past with mixed results but this time he has a star-studded cast to aide him: Owen Wilson, Jennifer Aniston, Imogen Poots, Kathryn Hahn and Will Forte should bring the funny (and there's also a cameo by a very famous director). The film received mixed reviews when it was shown out-of-competition at the Venice Film Festival last year with some calling it a masterpiece and others calling it out-of-date. Most tended to agree that the film was, however, very funny. Small, independent screwball comedies don't get much of a look-in at the box-office these days but, supported by the likes of Aniston, Wilson and Poots, this one should hopefully reach a wider audience.
