10 Upcoming Comedy Films You Need To See In 2015

8. Yoga Hosers

Yoga Hosers is 2015's offering from Kevin Smith, spun off from 2014's bizarre Tusk as part of his 'True North' trilogy of Canadian surrealism. While Tusk split critics and audiences (well, those who saw the film - it did poor business at the box-office) one thing cannot be denied about the Walrus-heavy comedy/horror film: it was definitely a unique experience. That experience looks to be replicated in Yoga Hosers, an action-adventure/comedy film that brings back the cast of Tusk. Details about the film's plot remain a little sketchy but it centres on two yoga-loving 15 year old girls who team up with an eccentric detective (a barely recognisable Johnny Depp) to stop an ancient evil. Smith has claimed to be retiring several times in the last few years and, after the underwhelming Cop Out and Red Stare, many probably wished he would. But as long as Silent Bob continues to churn out quirky little indies with razor sharp dialogue like Tusk and Yoga Hosers, he still has something to offer. After Yoga Hosers drops, Smith will conclude the True North trilogy with Moose Jaws (think Jaws but with an, erm, Moose) and, finally, Clerks III.
