Not a year goes by that there isn't a Woody Allen film released in cinemas. Every year for the last thirty years, Woody Allen has made a film and that film has made its way into cinemas. Staggering, when you think about it. Along the way there have been hits and misses, successes and flops. Allen has an idea draw (a draw that is literally full of ideas) and whenever he goes to make a film, he just pulls an idea out of the draw. Allen's as yet untitled 2015 film is a mystery/comedy film about a philosophy professor (Joaquin Phoenix) who is suffering an existential crisis when he starts a relationship with one of his students (Emma Stone), giving his life a new purpose. While 2014's Magic In The Moonlight was an obvious disappointment, the less hokey premise of this film and the presence of Phoenix should be seen as encouraging signs for Allen fans.
