Surprisingly, the film that's causing the biggest brouhaha, months before its release, isn't a Marvel Studios or Warner Bros production at all. It's Fox's troubled reboot of The Fantastic Four franchise which, despite appearing to have a lot going for it in Chronicle director Josh Trank and a pretty stellar cast of hot young talent, seems destined for failure. At least, if you go by fan reaction, it is. If you think people get mad when they change a character's actor ala Ben Affleck as Batman, just see how furious racist geeks get when they cast a black actor in the role of what is usually a white character, as is the case with Michael B Jordan playing the Human Torch. The Fantastic Four has mostly been surrounded by doom and gloom thanks to the lack of official info. There have still been no photos, no trailers, not even teasers for trailers. The only official info that's come out? Toby Kebell spilling the beans about his new version of Doctor Doom. Who is a computer hacker. Who gave himself that name. People don't like that. Honestly? Hackers seem the closest to a modern day Doom. Ridiculous pseudonym, inflated sense of self-worth, melodramatic speech patterns...although, when he looks like this, you can see why people get mad.
